Flu Bug anyone??

UGH! just when I'm starting to really get that motivation... WHAMMO! knocked down by the dreaded flu bug! You may ask "why didn't you get the flu shot" well, I will tell you... I got sick with a cold and you kind of have to be feeling a little up to par when you get shots. And then I had every intention of going down to Costco (yup that's right... Costco had people giving flu shots) and then yesterday I went to church... felt fine other than the "don't wanna go play a certain song because I'm a baby" moments... came home... felt chilled... took a nap... woke up with even more chills... and thus lay down on the futon (which is lumpy and uncomfortable at best) with 2 blankets on top of me... plus flannel pajamas PLUS socks. AND! A fever of 101.8 (working it's way up to 102)

Today more not feeling great... thought I would go out and get me a bite to eat... shouldn't have done it but I did anyway.... and came home... more chills... more WONDERFUL laying down on said lumpy futon...

I'm hoping that this will be over with tomorrow... cuz I HATE BEING SICK! IT KEEPETH ME FROM MY WORKOUT!

Exercise Report :)

Well, I did my workout today which included 20 minutes on my cross-trainer and 15 minutes on DDR. And I'm trying to drink all the water that they recommend... but I sometimes fall short with that. I should just probably carry a water bottle with me wherever and just drink from that until it's empty and whatever that comes out to be.
I exercised today. Last night I joined sparkspeople.com and joined a community on there to help support and motivate as well. If anyone is interested you can join :) if not that's cool too... I'm on there as Sunshine38mt so if you do join... add me :D

Tracking Exercise

Okay... so... here's the question... how does one track Exercising progress? I'm thinking for me it will be for starters (just for the next little while) I will do 20 minutes on the cross-trainer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, just until I build up to more and then it will be 20 minutes a day until it's like up to every single day for an hour.

So, I'm thinking that I will tag this as my workout stuff with the appropriate tags.. and those that want to read may do so... otherwise they don't have to :)

To all my friends - a request of sorts

Hey all!

I just have to say first off y'all are a bunch of wonderful awesome people and I love you all dearly!! And I wouldn't have made it through some of the stuff I have had to deal with without your love and support.

I just would like to ask as a favor to everyone as I endeavor to improve myself, that if at all possible :) I could ask for encouragement and prayers.

Most of you know that I have had a struggle with my weight all of my life and it has affected my health in not such great ways. Forrest bought me a cross-trainer and we just put it together last night. Today I burned over 200 calories which is no small feat for me. And that was only 20 minutes. I know I need to do more and push myself further, but without a support system I don't think I would be able to do that.

Sure I could ask my family too and they're great at that sort of thing... but.. I have a sister who poo-poo's the idea of exercise machines in any way shape or form... I love her to death but she doesn't get that what works for her isn't necessarily what works for me. I have friends who used to work out with me before I let my gym membership lapse. They're great for any encouragement as well.

I guess what I'm asking is that you all keep on my butt. If I don't work out... yell at me or something... I'm hoping to put in 20 minutes a day at least for this first little while and building up to half an hour to an hour. I so want to do this. I need to do this. And I just want you all to know how much I love you all
I cut my hair!!!! It will soon be on its way to be made into a wig. I'm a little sad... BUT... it feels so good to have that off my neck!
Forrest got us tickets to see Mannheim Steamroller in December! I'm stoked for that. They are going to be performing in Spokane WA so we're going to see them. December 4th baby YEAH! we're RIGHT in front of the stage!!!

Also :) he ordered me THE cross-trainer that I've been bugging him about for a while. We've been looking around for ways to help me work out at home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE cross-trainers. And I know that having it at home I will use it and become the skinny me that I KNOW is in here. Well, not super skinny... I mean I DO need to keep SOME junk in my trunk ;)

I'll take pictures and post them for your viewing pleasure :D
For the first five people that reply to me and re-post this challenge, I will send you something. It might be something I've made, or something cool from my hidden stash, it might be a mix CD, or a rubber duck, a book I think you will enjoy, or something else that is awesome. Whatever it is, I promise that I will get it to you in 365 days or fewer. The only thing you need to do in order to participate is to be one of the first five to reply to this, AND post this very same thing on YOUR LiveJournal - cause it's fun to give people stuff!

Home again, Home again!

YAY! :) I'm home!!! We got home around 2 in the morning.  Our house was like a refrigerator but we just piled blankets on the bed and then turned on the heat this morning.  all in all it was a good trip, just extremely long.  I loved Lethbridge.  I loved Vulcan and Calgary and Drumheller.  Edmonton was TOO big for my tastes and the people there just didn't seem as friendly as in Calgary or Drum, Lethbridge or Vulcan (well, except for the psychotic children that seriously chased us out of "THEIR" park)  LOOOOONG story there and I'll go into that later. :) Just wanted you all to know I was home :) in relatively good health and not one broken bone :D  OH yeah... minus my voice because I screamed it up at the Blue Man Group concert :D
